Paper Points
Paper Points are sterile, absorbent cones used in endodontic (root canal) treatment to dry the canal after irrigation and before obturation.
They are placed inside the prepared canal to absorb moisture, irrigants (like sodium hypochlorite), and fluids before inserting gutta-percha.
Main Functions
• Dry the root canal after cleaning
• Absorb irrigating solutions
• Help check working length (moisture at apex)
• Aid in detecting perforations or bleeding
