Air-Water Syringe (3-Way)
A 3-way air-water syringe is a standard instrument attached to the dental unit used to spray air, water, or a mixture of both into the patient’s mouth during treatment.
Three functions:

? Water only – rinses debris and irrigates the tooth

? Air only – dries the tooth surface for diagnosis or bonding

? Air + water spray – cleans and cools the treatment area
The syringe usually has two buttons:

Left button → water

Right button → air
-
Press both → spray mist.
